HUD Suggestions

Stations

A descriptive paragraph- its history, import and defining characteristics. Different looks depending on age and context. Faction specific gearing philosophies.

Mapping

Limit information of areas to 'public record'- a nation's immediately controlled areas and those mapped out by the player themselves to create value in exploration.

Wingmen

Bots which follow you with various functions- shield/repair/attack/cargo etc.

Race Tracks

A small station near it charging people to run through it, and taking bets on the races.

Missions

Hiden clues for missions in the back stories that go with some missions- missions which require a knowledge of the history of the game universe; this rewards greater involvement.

Ships

Ship Customization

Paint it several colors, gradients etc. Symbols marking a pilot and some of their accomplishments (hive kills, national rank, national marking). Allow players to upgrade a unit to the next variant gradually (lighten the armor, bigger engine, ect). Greater range in size.

Destinct and seperate ship types, and correspondingly differnt paths to gaining them:

a) Transport (relativly fast, low armor, big cargo space, few weapon slots) b) Minig (slower than Transport, high armor, big cargo space, more weanpon slots) c) Light Fighters (fast, low armor, small cargo space, few light slots, no heavy slots) d) Heavy Fighters (slower, high armor, small cargo space, few weak slots and some heavy slots).
