If someone can include a sample configuration it would be handy for people such as myself who have never used IRC. Thanks.

Also what IRC network should one choose?

irc.slashnet.org. If you have preloaded server defaults, it's probably called SlashNET. --Roguelazer

Yes that was in the preloaded list, thank you. Now if I could manage to connect to any server at all I might pull it off :) --Harpo

Following the instructions it all seems to work until I get to "Now, type /msg vendetta register" and I seem to be stuck there. Any suggestions? Thanks --Harpo

you need to msg from within VO to the IRC bot to register your VO account with the NickServ on SlashNet, at least I think that's what I had to do. I got stuck there as well and had to be helped too. --Mark McDoogle 09:45, 5 May 2005 (CST)

Gaim

Why was Gaim/Adium removed from the list of IRC clients? I know several people that use gaim to connect regularly... --Roguelazer 20:15, 3 March 2007 (EST)

Adium doesn't allow IRC connections, and I just checked yesterday on the most recent version. --Miharu 08:25, 4 March 2007 (EST)

Gaim does, at least as of 2.0.0-beta5. --Roguelazer 14:46, 4 March 2007 (EST)

Community Relay Information

Since FiReMaGe has been absent since about last May and my relay is slowly reaching feature parity, I'm going to adjust the information to indicate that my relay is the primary relay and edit the command list as necessary to reflect the current state of things. We can always revert to previous information should FiReMaGe return. --Draugath 03:39, 10 February 2013 (UTC)
