'''Tip!''' Hit that nice "random page" button over on the left, there. That'll take you to a random page, and if you see any syntax errors or such, fix 'em! <br>
If you need to fool around with stuff, do so in the [[sandbox]].

Awesome stuff that's being worked on:
*I'm (attempting) to write some [[Capitalships_history | history]] of the cap ships. Woo. --red cactus
* LeberMac is going to attempt a Deneb Run section of the wiki
=== Suggestions Place ===
Put here any ideas you have in passing to add to/change about the Wiki. (If you'd like, also sign your name so if the idea is implemented we can contact the original person for specifications and the like.)

* GTS on pages is rather dumb and very slow I'd like to loadsuggest a new logo for the wiki. Can we get rid of them? --red_cactus (saying this at risk of lots o' flames.)** I concurThe existing one looks so 2005. ItHere's pointless, slowone simple, quick and uglydirty suggestion of mine:[https://www. If you really want it, make everyone download the GTS font and use its unicode charactersdropbox. But I don't want it at allcom/s/jmoty4jgwnm70h6/vo-wiki_logo_1.--png Logo Suggestion Ver1][[Userhttps:Roguelazer|Roguelazer]]** Well I only added cause I thought it would get people more familiar with the characters so when in game they would know what they meant//www. If you all really don't like it feel free to remove the images from the database and remove the coding, but I won't be the one to do itdropbox. com/s/unyxxmci16iuegp/vo-wiki_logo_2.png Logo Suggestion Ver2]--[[User:MarkMcDoogleAndy Spades|Mark McDoogleAndy Spades]] 1108:4359, 29 Jun 2005 7 January 2013 (CSTUTC)** First, let me say, I am not against the GTS in the headers. But, the GTS in the headers creates large header names which leads to problems when viewing differences between versions. I think the GTS in the headers, while a good idea, should be removed.

I spent some time wandering through some of the special pages, and this is what I found:* Fix the <nowiki><math></math></nowiki> tags --[[User:Roguelazer|RoguelazerCategory:Deprecated]] 17:36, 7 Mar 2005 (CST)** I think that's gonna need the bugging of Tyrdium. --The only other deprecated page is [[UserBots:Lemming|LemmingFrigate]]*** Ah, okaywhich contains very little content. I Can'll see what I can dot any "historical" information be merged with the HAC page? Then the Deprecated category won't be necessary. --* [[UserSpecial:Tyrdium|TyrdiumWantedpages]] 15:58, 8 May 2005 (CST)----see bugs section below.* MediaWiki 1.5? Sidebar editing! Mmmm. Please? --[[User:Roguelazer|RoguelazerCurrent events]] 08:37, 29 Jun 2005 (CST)** Yes please, seems more out of date than ever. I've been asking about this made my case for the past few weeks, both Moofed and I looked into it, but if they have an update for it get it Lemming!! --'s deletion in [[UserTalk:MarkMcDoogle|Mark McDoogleCurrent events]] 11:43, 29 Jun 2005 (CST).** Now that we can edit the navigation box, can we stick the link for "editors main" under the link for main page? As well as Categories, or something called "Index" maybe?? --[[UserSpecial:MarkMcDoogle|Mark McDoogleUncategorizedpages]] July 4, 2005 21:32 (CST)----** [[CWTOM]] appears to be a work of fiction.* Per Rogue* [[Capital ships]], while mostly correct, doesn's suggestion, most of t seem necessary. It seems like the intro paragraphs have been description should be moved to before the TOCthe [[Ships#Capital_Ships]] section, keep where it will be seen and can act as an eye out for any that have been missedintroduction to Cap Ships. (Currently you have to click on a specific cap ship to find a link to the general description --isn't that backwards?)** [[User:MarkMcDoogle|Mark McDoogleDocking bay]]----* Categories: My suggestion seems like there is that the categories nothing similar to it. Maybe it's contents should reflect more what is already grouped on be moved into the main page. Instead of just ingame databasesFAQ, activitieswhich talks about docs anyway?And again, etc. I would suggest that they fall under a scheme know I'm probably ruffling someone's feathers with some of: Generalthese comments, Game Info., Passive Activities, Aggressive Activities, User Interface and Misc., this but I'm just ties things together more IMO looking to the main pagestart a discussion. If I'm shot down, which is grouped nicely and is easy to understandso be it. Why make people remember two different category schemes? --[[User:MarkMcDoogleKlox|Mark McDoogleKlox]] 15:21November 19, 30 Jun 2005 05:12 (CST)**ActuallyHmm, no opinions? I'd reccommend instead a heiracheral (sp?) system instead with love to at least clean up some of the top level being "General"more benign issues, "Passive Activities", "Game User Interface", "Game Info", "Aggressive Activities" and "Miscellaneous"but I'm not a sysop so I can't delete. Inside those categories would be further categories matching each of the entries Are there any sysops that want to those categories on the main page. IE: The General category would contain subcategories "FAQ"help me with this cleanup, "Rules", "IRC"or better yet, etc. Those subcategories would contain the actual pages. That way the category system would exactly match the site layout. The current categorization is based off of matching (very closely) the former main page layout. does Lemming want to make me a sysop so I don't need to bug other sysops? --[[User:RoguelazerKlox|RoguelazerKlox]] 1623:1035, 30 Jun 3 December 2005 (CST)** Mark pages for deletion in their Discussion and I'm shocked, SHOCKED, to say this butll take care of it. If I agree with you. But I don't entirely.*** [[CWTOM]] and [[Capital ships]] can't be deleted. Apparently, there's a lot of offline content for those that is exactly what I had in mind in the first place rogue, if only needs toe be updated sometime.*** Ditto for [[UserBots:Lemming|LemFrigate]]. That page isn't actually about a HAC, just something that looks like one... Hmm...well... [[UserBots:Miharu|HaruFrigate]] would agree , and everything associated with [[CWTOM]] is the bulk of my list. So I guess that means we'll just leave them alone. I don't really understand your reasons for keeping them, but I don't care to argue the point. As I said in my initial post, "so be it". --[[User:MarkMcDoogleKlox|Mark McDoogleKlox]] 1623:1713, 30 Jun 12 December 2005 (CSTEST)**Pretty late at night over hereOkay, so I'll think it all through tomorrow morning. Butdear people from 2005, if I get what the gist of hell is itwith these pages... locked, unused because useless, sounds goodunedited since 2006. If you need to get my opinion on something you can either .. Can someone please just let them die in dignity? [mailto[User:ninjashark@gmail.com e-mailAndy Spades|Andy Spades] me or use memoserv on IRC to leave me a message] 12:48, either way I'll get it. 1 October 2012 (e-mail is more likely to UTC) Could we get noticed sooner though) Also, in case you care, editor pages an updated section of the wiki for iPhone and Android platforms? There are on my list some different controls for things like plotting a jump around ion storms (PC version of things to redo.**So Shift key doesn't work) and other stuff such as far the newest skins available and what is required such as categories go, we're pretty mucjailbreaking.
=== Bugs ===
If you find any bugs with the Wiki (not syntax errors, but software bugs), post 'em here.
*Category changes are a tad bit odd. For example, the category IngameDatabases still shows two pages as being in it that aren't in it anymore. This might be a caching issue...
**Yah, if you log out/back in, it's all better. Probably a caching issue. So before you do anything with Categories, log out and back in.--[[User:Roguelazer|Roguelazer]]
==== TOC ====
* Uhh, now that we're on 1.5, it's impossible to toggle TOCs. Like, huh? --[[User:Roguelazer|Roguelazer]] July 2, 2005 15:42 (CST)
** Works for me on Safari and Deer Park (Firefox beta). I blame you. --[[User:Lemming|Lemming]] July 2, 2005 23:52 (CST)
** Doesn't work in Firefox 1.0.4. Where the "hide" button used to be, there's a button called "undefined" which does nothing when clicked. However, logging out and back in fixed it. Odd. But w/e!--[[User:Roguelazer|Roguelazer]] 2005-07-04 17:00:38 (CST)
**Odd Rogue, Firefox 1.0.4 is the only app that the wiki doesn't have the problem in for me, when in safari logging out and back in does not fix the "undefined" error. But all weekend and today Firefox (mac) has worked great! --[[User:MarkMcDoogle|Mark McDoogle]] 5 July 2005 16:23 (CST)
***Perhaps it wasn't the login/logout. I also cleared my cache and deleted the wiki cookie at the same time. Perhaps it was some combination of the above? --[[User:Roguelazer|Roguelazer]] 2005-07-05 19:04:41 (CST)
==== Wanted Pages ====
The [[Special:Wantedpages]] page seems broken. It lists two "wanted pages" that aren't linked to by the pages it claims they are linked by. (Does that make sense?)
# Open the [[Special:Wantedpages]] page.
# Click on one of the two places it says (7 links).
# Click on any of the pages in the list and look for any pages that link to one of the "wanted pages".
# You won't find any. (At least I didn't.)
I wonder if one of the wanted pages used to be linked in the sidebar or footer and the wiki hasn't reindexed the page since the sidebar/footer changed? Editing one of the pages listed in step 3 removes it from the list, but that seems like a crude way to fix this.
--[[User:Klox|Klox]] November 19, 2005 04:38 (CST)
Weird, I'll try updating to the current version of MediaWiki and we'll see if that fixes anything. --[[User:Lemming|Lemming]] 20 November 2005 04:19 (CST)

Updating Mining and ore info I have an indepth helping update the trade goods listing from the July 29 changes. ===[[User:Andy Spades|Andy Spades]]===Only wanted his guild to appear in the wiki but then slowly started to edit, correct, complete and sometimes f__k up things he thinks he knows about. And now that Lemming was so nice to go through the trouble of giving him permissions he feels even more obliged to help make the ores wiki better.<br />Currently drafting a reorganization of the [[Plug-ins|plugins page]], which is quite messed up, incomplete and locationsvery user- and newb-friendly. Also one of those hyperactive people who click the "Random page" link. I hacked 127.0.0.1
