Different missions will offer different types and amounts of experience. You will have to try out the missions for yourself to see which ones give what types of rewards.
MIssions may not display for several reasons:
#You are part of a group, which can and will alter the mission's availiability.
#You have just finished another mission. Redocking should fix this up.
#You already have a mission, complete it, or Abort.
