These missions will have a [[Hive Queen]]. To complete the mission, you must destroy the Hive Queen before your Faction loses too many people. If there are still smallYou usually have NPC assistance here, common and large skirmishes so in most cases all you need to do is deshield the area the Queenqueen. The critical skirmish queens are also pretty docile, and won's shields will be much stronger t agro you until deshielded, and almost impossible to beatoften not even till they're at 10-7% health. ==Tracking down a Hive Queen, without a Hive Skirmish Mission==
Find some collector bots in any sector, and stalk them closely. They will lead you to a hive queen. Their typical pattern is: they warp into the zone, go to an asteroid and mine for about 5 to 10 minutes, then warp back out. You want to be within ~500m 1000m of them when they warp, so that you will be able to see what sector they warped to in your chat bar. The sector that they warp to will contain a hive queen.

The Queen just turboes around while you deal with the escort. However, once an Observer or Transport bot from the escort is killed, the queen will agro on you. So it is advised to leave these for the last. After you have dealt with the escort, you can take on the queen.
First you will need to take down the queen's shield. The key is to inflict as much damage as possible in the shortest amount of time. This is easier in a group, but there are techniques for doing it solo.
Once the shield is down, the rest is straightforward. The queen doesn't fire back, so attack with whatever weapon you want until it's dead. Be careful not to be too close (~500m) when it explodes.

Load out a Rag with 1-3 Gemini tubes, and 2 Chaos Swarm Launchers. Fill any small port slots you may have left (if you use less than 3 Geminis) with energy weapons of your choice. Aproach the queen (we are assuming all of the queens retinue is destroyed by this point), at 2000m2500m, being turbo tapping around 80-81 m/s. At 1600m2000m, begin firing all weapons, while not stopping your turbo tap. When your ammo is depleted, get out of there before the queens shields go down. Reload and RepeatIf you have energy weapons on you, use them to take the queen down on the spot.
Be aware that if you are the only one in the sector, or if you are the one who has deshielded the queen and then stay in the sector, the queen will try to attack you. This applies while deshielding as well. If you don't have a buddy to distract the queen, start your stack from a greater distance, since the queen will be moving towards you as well. Take care not to get into a head on collision with the queen. It's almost certain suicide.
