Every race track begins with an entrance, marked by the three green lines on either side, and end with an exit, marked by the shield and the three red lines on either side. Upon entering a track the sector will begin to track your time, once you exit the track successfully your ship will be repaired, your time will be given to you, your best time will be given to you, and the sectors 5 top times will be given to you. If your time is one of the top 5 the list will be updated to reflect that. If your score places first it will be broadcasted to everyone in the sector. If your score was in the top 5 and you got a higher time, the list will update but your score will not be broadcasted to the sector.

Every race track has several checkpoints, upon passing through one of these points your current time will be given to you along with the checkpoint's number, which is good to see your progress through the track. Most of the tracks are simply a curvy path with no turns, but a couple of them have a few turns, and one of them is a maze. The tracks that are constructed as a maze are constructed of several turns and many loops that will send you in circles. Some loops are simple and short while others are long and elaborate.
