Guilds serve as a way for players to group together to complete a common goal. Guilds are often focused around a particular nation or faction.

Creation

To start a guild you need to have 10 people total ingame at the same time willing to join the guild. The person who initiates the guild will become the Commander of that guild. The other people who join while the guild is still "unofficial" will become council members. To start the guild the Commander must first create the guild. Once this is done the Commander must invite the 9 people needed to make the guild official. The people being invited to a guild can join, or decline. Once there are 10 members total the guild becomes official and any members who join after that will be only a simple member with no guild powers. The Commander also has the power to appoint Lieutenants who can invite members to join the guild and also expel (Commanders also have this power). Only 2 Lieutenants can be appointed at first.

Management

The Commander has the ability to post a message of the day (MOTD) by typing the MOTD command. This can be useful for sending out a message to your entire guild without calling a special meeting. Commanders and Lieutenants can both invite and expel members at any time. The Council has the ability to remove someone from office or appoint them to a new position. This is done by using the vote command. A majority vote from the Council will change the persons rank immediately.

Any guild member or officer can see information about their guild in the Comm tab of their PDA.

Dying guilds

A guild can be disbanded if basic membership is not kept. The minimal requirements for a guild is to have 5 council members active. If this is not kept the guild will be disbanded.

Positions & Powers

  • Commander- A Commander has the ability to create the guild, invite members, expel members, post a motd, appoint a Lieutenant, resign from the guild or position as commander, and view the active guild members list.
  • Council- A Council member has the ability to vote a person in or out of office, resign from the guild or position, and view the active guild members list.
  • Lieutenant- A Lieutenant has the ability to invite members, expel members, resign from the guild or position, and view the active guild members list.
  • Member- A Member has the ability to resign from the guild, and view the active guild members list.

Earth and Beyond [EnB] The Earth and Beyond Guild has and always be dedicated to helping others. We enjoy helping further the knowledge of all our members, and go out of our way to help new members learn the game as well as have a good time while doing so. New members are a resource to us, as we were all new members at one time. Because we were given so much help when we were new, we enjoy helping others the same way. All we ask in return, is that you do the same for others. Everyone has an ability the guild can use. :)
Coalition of Itan [ITAN] The Coalition Of Itan is dedicated to the defense and progression, by any means necessary, of the Itani nation.

Typically an Itani-only guild, [ITAN] members engage in PvP, PvB, capital-ship operations, trading and commerce. Occasional combat training and other special events are also held as part of [ITAN]'s regular activities.

[ITAN] shares a rich history as the merged entity composed of the [IA] Itani Alliance and the [IDF] Itani Defense Force, two of the longest-running Itani guilds ever which have shared common goals since their inception. Their combined force makes ITAN the most visible Itani guild to date.

The guild structure is an elected one. The commander, LTs and councils are all elected positions by ALL members, giving equal opportunity to all active members for a guiding position. These leadership positions are responsibilities, not opportunities to exert power.

Applicants must have good piloting capabilities, a will to learn and to better themselves and the discipline to respect [ITAN]'s guidelines.

Shades of Red [SoR] Contains many veteran Serco players from the defunct SAF, focused on CtC but is still organizing.
The Guild of
Free Traders
[TGFT] Galaxy's premiere trading guild, focusing on mutual assistance and protection against pirates and saftey our own members. We also believe in peacuful trade of free trade of goods throughout the galaxy and sharing of valuable information regarding to the realm of trading/mining with all full members. Newly appointed commander, Moby Dick. Currently second largest guild with 64 members, trailing EnB with 69 members.
The Vipers [VPR] Anti-pirate guild. Former enemy of the disbanded [BLAK] pirate guild and now highly active in PvP against pirate guilds suchs as [CLM] Cargo Liberation Movement and [SCAR] Serco Cadre of Armed Renegades, but also non affiliated pirates, rogues and troublemakers. Is a multi-national guild and acts in the defense of traders of every nation. Also provides mining protection and escort services upon request.
Skygge Vakter [SKV] A small group of Itani pilots specially trained to operate in a wide range of situations. Also known as the Itani special forces. Further information is classified.
Christianson Distribution Company [CDC] "We haul so you don't have to". This company can haul your goods for a reasonable fee as well provide escort to you or your guild's convoys. When not on a job, we are by and large traders as well as combatants against the growing pirate presence, keeping sectors open for Free Trade.
Kallisti [(K)] The Kallisti Guild claims to be the First, One and Only Guild that is a non-Guild, the first group of VO players fundamentally disorganized. All the advantages of a being in a Guild, without any of the inconvenience (or the opposite. We don't assume any liability, whatever it is. Yeah we're irresponsible, too) !

WARNING: this guild is not meant for anyone actually expecting anything out of the membership. All you get is a [(K)] tag and possibly a Lieutenant rank. And access to Cap Ships when they're added, perhaps, if you or I have the money or skill, and if there's a guild requirement somewhere. Fnord. Kallisti Guild is in no way associated with or affiliated to the Bavarian Illuminati.

Sigma Shipping Company [SSC] We are Sigma, a small group of people interested in the protection of Free Enterprise throughout the galaxy during these troubled times. All our members boast multiple talents in pursuit of our objectives, being able fighters, shrewd traders and knowledgeable miners. From freighting to strip-mining to fighter support, Sigma Shipping has the personnel needed to carry out any mission, no matter how difficult or time-consuming, and the Company regularly engages in projects that benefit all of its members in both money and License advancements.

We are always looking for gifted, versatile individuals with proven records to join the Company and make a name for themselves. We offer Knowledge, Expertise and Camaraderie, so no matter what you take on, Sigma will be with you all the way!

Cargo Liberation Movement [CLM] "We will be taking ye cargoes." The largest active pirate guild, this organization bases in Latos, making that and the Sedina systems their home. Along with pirating traders, they also come at odds with the larger trade and anti-pirate guilds, sometimes a mere skirmish escalating into a full on battle. Many former BLAK and Syndicate members reside in this Movement.
Hive Suppression Assault Force [HSAF] We are the Hive Suppression Assault Force [HSAF]. Our single purpose is to repel the hive's advances and make strikes at the heart of the hive. We are available for queen-extermination raids (whether for a badge or just for fun), for assistance with operations in hive-infested sectors (including cover fire and baiting for mining), and any other anti-hive activities.
Serco Team Six [ST6] We are warriors, one and all. Born to defend, built to conquer. The Steel we wear is the steel within ourselves, forged by the hot fires of discipline and training. We are fierce in a way no others can be.

We are ST6.

Those who belong have the respect of a nation, the loyalty of their own, and a pride that comes from carving a place in history.

The Syndicate [Syn] "A mysterious group of people with unknown motives based in Corvus controlled space. Not much is known about their influence or power, but it is rumored that they are largely responsible for the wide variety of wares sold at various Corvus stations. Working for them are a number of highly skilled and very dangerous pilots that accomplish various "tasks" to further the Syndicate's dark agenda for power."
Coaltion of Galactic Commerce and Cartography [CGCC] The Coalition of Galactic Commerce and Cartography [CGCC] is a commercial entity whose primary concern is the acquisition, recording, processing and application of information for profit.

Information

CGCC Members have at their disposal all of the data recorded or acquired by the Coalition, as well as unique charts and representations of that data’s processing. Our in-the-works handbook is designed to contain all of the most relevant information in the most easy to interpret and use form. Information we collect includes commercial information (such as pricing and market data), demographic information, political information and stellar/interstellar information.

Profit

The CGCC’s slogan is “Profit through information on the market, and the marketing of information.” Information is the most valuable commodity in the universe, and its value is centric to the CGCC. If you just want to trade goods, join [TGFT], if you want to trade information also, join [CGCC].

Phoenix Alliance [PA] "Phoenix Alliance is a greyspace guild operating primarily in the Odia and Sedina systems. An organization reasonably adept at any task it sets itself to, PA has arisen seemingly out of nothingness as a major player in frontier economics (though local rumors offer that the group evolved from the ashes of several inactive guilds, hence the name). Strictly opposed to piracy and other illegal activity, Phoenix Alliance prohibits any criminal activity towards and from it's members, and attacks pirates and other criminals on sight in most cases. Some political analysts find this to be somewhat ironic, as PA operates out of Corvus-controlled territory. However, no pilot can doubt the integrity of these pilots once they encounter them, and no other faction in the galaxy can claim to hold their personal honor and that of their comrades in higher regard than Pheonix pilots; or at least, thats what they'll say when you ask them. PA is known to be fiercely protective of their own and their friends, much to the dismay of pirates and thieves who made the mistake of thinking a Phoenix transport to be an easy ransom.
Blood Dragon Clan [BDC] Serco Military Guild We are the protectors of our sovereign Serco Territorial Borders. We only Attack Smurfs their convoys and other interests we are also the first guild to take the fight to the Itani in their space. We have sworn an oath to remove this vile scourge from space. We take from the Itani' to aide in our war effort and give to other Serco pilots who aide us in this endeavor.
SkyCommand Assault Regiment [SCAR] Strength, Unity, Honor, Glory

The SkyCommand Assault Regiment [SCAR] is a military unit of the Serco Dominion. The primary goal of SCAR is to lead the Serco Dominion to its inevitable and glorious victory over the Itani nation and the Akanese transgressors. Members of SCAR are tried and trained by the Dominion's finest in the art of Combat, and educated also in the areas of teamwork and commerce. They have the honor of serving as Warriors and Protectors of the Serco Dominion and heroes of its people.

Some of SCAR's activities include: Capture the Cargo (CtC) raids Participation in various National battles and Border Patrols Capital Ship assault and defense missions Providing for the ongoing security and defense of the Dominion's territory Other militaristic Role-Playing events of interest to the Serco Dominion Economic or commercial events such as mining Combat training exercises and mentoring/assisting of new Serco players
