Missions

1,705 bytes added, 20:31, 25 February 2005
Added the Recon/Spy section. Changed some layout stuff.
Tips
*Your bonus increases in value for every five bots you kill. Because your bonus loosely depends on the type of collector you kill, if you're already somewhat skilled at botting, start with the Denteks. *After 20 consecutive kills (dying resets the counter) your bonus will only increase after 5 kills of Artemis or Dentek collectors.
*Continue with the Beginner Combat Practice until you reach Combat level 3, at which time you become unable to take it.
Advanced Combat Practice
Tips
*In this mission, you can take out any combination of bots from the list or just concentrate on one of them. Your bonus does not increase in this mission, so in general, the harder the bot, the higher the bonus.
Even though ApuTech-5 Guardians appear first on the list and have the lowest bonus, this does not mean they are the easiest bot. Try a TyCorp Assault or Valent A-47 Assault instead. (The author recommends the TyCorps first as they are effectively bigger, badder collector bots.)
Tips
*This mission allows you to practice combat against hostile player-usable ships. Experiment and see what setup works for you.
Trade Guild
Tips
*If you plan on going somewhere far away from where you are currently or need a change in scenery, then this is the trade mission for you.
Special Delivery
Tips
*If you plan on going somewhere far away from where you are currently or need a change in scenery, then this is the trade mission for you. Has the added bonus of being a mission with lightweight cargo and only one unit of it at that. Perfect for those who are couriers at heart.
Procurement
Tips
*These missions offer more reward in every respect than the Retrieval missions do. (Standing, xp, money)
Retrieval
Tips
*For someone who wants to get in and out fast as well as continue working for one particular area, these missions work great.
Minerals
Tips
*Check the roids in the area outside the station before you select this mission. If you can, pick an ore that you can easily get without leaving the protection of the station.
Prospecting Missions
Tips
*Take advantage of the fact that these missions are very open in what you can do; you are not required to return to your starting station, you can mine from the roids you scan, you can even log off and continue the mission when you return. *Because the mission only picks commonly found mineral types (Aquean, Carbonic, Ferric, Silicate) and infrequently slightly less common ones (Ishik, VanAzek, Xithricite), you should scout out the area around the station before you start the mission if you want to make it faster. Accept missions where the selected mineral is in a majority of the roids outside the station if you can. Remember: leaving and entering the station will update the prospecting mission and possibly change the type of ore required.
Scrap Yard
Tips
*When you bot (even if you're not taking this mission), grab the Scrap Metal dropped by the destroyed bots. Store it in some central location that is easy to get to.*If you need it for a Scrap Yard mission, all you have to do is ship it to the station.
Recon/Spy =There are four missions in this set. == Secret Meeting (?) ==Your mission is to use a scanner to find a particular ship within a pack of UIT NPCs roaming a randomly-picked sector. === Mission Tab Interface ===None. Abort by leaving the destination sector or through the missions tab in the station interface. === Tips ===*Check to see what bots will be in the sector before you accept. Decline the mission and check the sector in your map. If the types of bots look agreeable to you need it for , go back and accept the mission.*When scanning the NPC ships, start from the top of the sector list alphabetically and work your way down. == Anomalus Materials ==Kill "marked" DenTek collectors, but don't let the one with the chemicals touch anything or the mission will fail! You will be given a Scrap Yard scanner and a sector to go to. Use the scanner to determine whether the bot is one that counts towards the mission's goal or is carrying the chemicals. === Mission Tab Interface ===None. If you want to abort, all leave the sector you have 're supposed to do is ship it be going to , or abort manually through the missions tab in the stationinterface before you leave. === Tips ===*When you pick this mission, before you accept, decline and check the sector that the mission wants you to go to. If there are DenTek collectors in that sector, go to another station and repeat. If there are no DenTek collectors, pick the mission again and accept.*Don't let the bots get too close to each other. If the chemical-carrying bot touches another object (including another bot), the mission fails== Hostage Situation == === Mission Tab Interface === === Tips ==
